Peaceful Space Backlot CCA is a rigorious college with highly stressed students. Unlike the Oakland campus, the SF campus does not provide a peaceful or reflective space to rest, process information or reflect on their college experience and personal life. For most, going to Jackson Playground park two blocks up is out of the way (I know because I never see our students there). Now that we have the backlot, I think it is important to create a space that encourages reflection and peace (also, we just need a space with shades around the SF campus).
