The last decade has seen tremendous growth in creativity, collaboration and online communities. In fact, 60% of Americans use social media, and of those, 59% interact with businesses on social networks. For example, Quirky, a collaborative product development site, was recently awarded $6 million in Series A funding and there are now over 150,000 iPhone apps in Apple’s App Store. goProto is the first step in our larger strategy to change the way businesses are designed and created. With market validated concepts and an active community, we can go beyond testing ideas to funding them.
